ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL AND TIMES OF SESSIONS:
Foundation
8.50 – 12.00am and 1.15p.m. – 3.20p.m.
KS1
8.50 - 12.00am and 1.15p.m. – 3.30p.m.
KS2
8.45 – 1.00p.m. and 2.00p.m. – 3.30p.m.
There are two ways to enter the school grounds:
The main entrance is on Leafy Lane. You can walk round the building to the right and
round the curved path to enter the main playground or round to the left onto the lower part
of the playground. Foundation children stay in their own area, which is to the right of the
main entrance.
There is pedestrian only access on Buckland Road.
There is no parking inside the grounds and only authorised vehicles may enter.
Children must not be left unsupervised until 8.40 a.m. At 8.45 the bell will ring and children
are welcomed into school by the headteacher and deputy headteacher. Children should
be in school by 8.55a.m.
No-one is allowed to enter the building through the back doors before school starts.
Parents must enter through the main front entrance and speak to Reception if they have a
message for one of the teachers, or if they need an appointment. Alternatively messages
can be taken by whoever is welcoming the children in.
At 8.55 a.m. the side access gates will be locked for security purposes and any late
arrivals will have to enter through the main front entrance and sign in.
Please help us by ensuring that your child arrives at school on time but not too early.
Children in Foundation and KS1 have one morning and one afternoon break.
Children in KS2 have 2 morning breaks.
All children are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit, veg or cheese to eat at break times.
If you are collecting your child at home time please be at school by 3.30 p.m. We will of
course look after your child if you are unavoidably detained.
Access gates will be unlocked at 3.20 p.m. so that you can enter to collect your children.
They will be locked again at 3.50 p.m. Children attending clubs will need to be collected
from the front entrance.
When you are waiting for the children to come out of their classrooms beside the main
playground please stand behind the drain line to avoid congestion, so that the children can
see you all. Foundation parents should wait outside the Foundation classrooms.
