Marshfields values all work that students undertake both at school and at home. Homework provides
an opportunity for our students to work independently, to research, to carry out specific tasks and to
complete work started in class.
The curriculum each student follows will be reflected in the homework that a student is given and will extend each student’s prior
learning. Staff will always give students sufficient time and support to complete the homework that is set.
Strategies
Students are given the opportunity to work on particular areas identified on their statement during strategy time which is held 4
mornings a week. The students work in small targeted groups run by our teaching assistants to work on their identified statement need.
