Performing Arts
The Performing Arts are an integral part of Marshfields’
life. Every key stage three student studies Performing
Arts for one double lesson per week. Students in
key stage 4 and 5 are able to take a Performing Arts
qualification and this consists of over two and a half
hours of Performing Arts study per week.
In addition to curricular Performing Arts, the school is
able to offer a thriving enrichment programme including:
• DanceWorkshops
• Gifted and Talented Performing Arts Classes
• Singing Lessons
• Whole School Performing Arts Club
• Individual Music Tuition
• Marshfields Choir
Trips are a fundamental part of the Performing Arts curriculum and there have been trips to see “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”,
Key Theatre Pantomime, “Shrek” and “A Christmas Carol”.
All students have the opportunity to performthroughout the academic year within school assemblies, concerts, Christmas and Easter Services,
school talent shows and the annual whole school play.The School prides itself inoffering awide variety of PerformingArts opportunities.
