Preparing Children for a Successful Future
The School welcomes children with all disabilities, subject to the limitations of the
building. The school has drawn up an Access Plan that will enable us to comply as closely as
possible with the requirements of the Special Educational Needs, Code of Conduct 2014.
The requirements of pupils with Special Educational Needs are planned for by Co-ordinator
Mrs Kyene Paton. She is responsible for the day to day running of the school‟s policy
which involves a wide range of activities:
Liaising with pupils, parents, teachers, support assistants, LA support services etc.
Helping teachers to draw up IEP's (Individual Education Programmes) for each pupil
with special needs.
Reviewing the wealth of books, computer software, new research etc that regularly
appears in school and needs to be evaluated
Budgeting for the equipment used for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
