Drama
Drama encourages speaking and listening skills as well as providing an important vehicle for
children to understand and
express feelings. It is used
across the curriculum and
children will experience role play
within many subject areas,
particularly in English and
Personal, Health and Social
Education. Children in the Upper
School have the opportunity to
take part in our Christmas
Production.
Library
Our well-stocked, attractive library supports in all areas of the curriculum. We also have a part-
time librarian who ensures that the library is
well maintained and used regularly by the
children and staff for the purposes of carrying
out research, or for simply enjoying quiet times
to choose and read a variety of books.
Mathematics
Mathematics at Crawley Ridge Junior focuses on building an appreciation of the beauty and
power of the subject as well as a sense of enjoyment and curiosity. Mathematics is essential to
everyday life and links thoroughly with many other subjects. It provides a foundation for
understanding of the world.
Throughout your child’s time at

move through the school, they will be
