A Creative Learning
Experience for All
We believe in the power of creativity both within and outside
the taught curriculum.
As a successful Arts College, all forms of the Arts - visual, musical
and performing - are used to provide opportunities for students
to develop their individual talents through traditional and
modern technologies in bespoke facilities which are second to
none. Examination performance in these areas is outstanding.
Musical excellence is a key feature in the life of the school, from
choirs and ensembles to large scale concerts, small groups,
community events and international tours. All Year 7 students have
the experience of learning a musical instrument. Harrow Young
Musicians, a local and national beacon of musical excellence, are
based at Hatch End.
The Performing Arts are particularly strong, with a wide range of
activities for all ages from small individual showcases to a huge
annual Musical Production.
Local artists and famous authors deliver workshops to inspire our
students and we regularly send groups out into the wider community
to support our local primary schools and community events.
Hatch End High School has been awarded ARTSMARK at Gold level for over a decade – this is
the Art Council England’s flagship programme which recognises and celebrates organisations’
outstanding strengths and cultural provision in the Arts.
