Student Experience
You will explore a wide range of performing arts work
and develop as both an artist and as a person. The
course is designed to give equal focus to acting,
singing and dance and the development of skills
and knowledge in these performance disciplines.
There are a variety of performance opportunities
across the course so you can put technique into
practise. These include devising, working in the
community and public performances, all produced to
the highest technical standard in the School’s theatres
and beyond. Recent productions include:

You, Pippin, Hair, Once on this Island
and
The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
.
What Qualities do I need?
We recruit students with a wide range of skills and
backgrounds, and this creates an environment
where our students are encouraged to respect and
appreciate differences. The course is very hard work
and is likely to be very different to what you have
experienced so far in your school life. We will expect
you to be open and flexible in your attitude to dealing
with these changes. We are looking for potential in all
three areas of the performing arts.

Course Overview
Whether you join this lively department at aged 14 or 16 you will spend your time
improving your technique in singing, dancing and acting skills through hard work and
discipline. If you are a versatile and open minded performer then you will fit right in to
this rigorous and vibrant course.
